General Beauty Culture Program (1,200 Hours)

OBJECTIVE: This program provides training in the various cosmetology services. Techniques will be learned in hair styling, hair tapering, shaping, pin curling and finger waving. Classes will also be given in shampooing, scalp treatment, facial treatments, and in hair removal.

Our theory classes include the biological study of the hair and its function. Instruction will also be given in chemistry, sterilization, bacteriology, and hygiene. Students will also be taught to adhere to the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in maintaining equipment and the environment of the salon as well as state laws, and shop management.

At the completion of this program, graduates will qualify to apply for the state license examination and employment in the beauty industry. A diploma will be awarded upon graduation from the program.
